I had skin cancers on my left forearm, back of the hand, and top of my right arm. Unfortunately, after radiation treatment, they reoccurred and became huge and very aggressive, growing out of control. Dr. Randy Jacobs, is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, an amazing dermatologist; but, did you know he also cares enough to reach out and help more than just your skin? Here is what happened with us. After freezing several pre cancers on Rick’s skin, Dr. Jacobs also noticed that Rick’s abdomen was protruding much more than normal. Now, Rick suffers with severe lung disease and is regularly followed by many doctors, but no other doctor had ever mentioned Rick’s protruding abdomen. Dr. Jacobs asked us about it, said he suspected a blockage, and ordered a CT scan of Rick’s abdomen. The CT results showed that my husband had a 2.5 cm malignant tumor on his left kidney. Without Dr. Jacobs’ early detection, this tumor would have spread throughout my husband’s body and to his blood stream with zero hope for survival. So, Rick underwent a 6 hour kidney removal surgery (nephrectomy) at Loma Linda University. Words cannot express the gratitude and gratefulness I have for Dr. Jacobs and the thorough way he practices medicine. My husband, Rick Snyder, is alive today, because Dr. Jacobs took the time to care.
