Welcome From Randy Jacobs, MD

HELLO AND WELCOME !

Hello and welcome to the dermatology practice of Randy Jacobs MD FAAD. Some people are blessed with the most beautiful skin, and it’s all natural. Others must work at it. Healthy skin is lovely to behold, comfortable to live in, and a pleasure to touch. Like a lush watered garden, healthy skin is well moisturized and healed from the damaging effects of weather, age, sun, wear, and tear. The blessing of healthy skin is our sincere wish for you. When your skin weeps for help, you need our skill for healing, our art for beauty, and love for caring. With time, patience, and the right physician to guide you, blessed skin is yours for life.

A TRUE DERMATOLOGIST.

When the exposures of life overwhelm you and time takes its toll, your skin will need help. Who do you see when your skin has problems? You should see a true dermatologist. The difference is in the education. A true board-certified dermatologist is a genuine medical specialist, residency trained and educated to understand your skin from the inside out. A true dermatologist has focused three or more years of medical residency devoted especially to the evaluation, care, and treatment of human skin in both health and disease.

What can you expect from a true dermatologist? Dermatology is a visual medical specialty, thus, most of the time, a true dermatologist can simply look at your skin and make an accurate diagnosis or clinical decision. For a true dermatologist a picture is worth 1000 words. Dermatology is a visual medical surgical specialty. And, just like a radiologist can look at your x-ray to diagnose a fracture, a true dermatologist can often look at your skin under a light or a microscope and can give you an accurate diagnosis. If the diagnosis is not 100% clear, the dermatologist can order special blood tests, allergy tests, cultures, and biopsies for clarification. Five minutes with a true dermatologist can save you hours of uncertain guessing about your skin diagnosis and treatment.

Scott Letu

Hello, my name is Scott Letu. A fun fact about me, is when I am not taking care of my kids, I love to play my saxophone. I also enjoy hiking, fishing, targets, and the outdoors enjoying nature (with SPF 30+ sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat of course).

During my undergraduate studies at California State University Long Beach, I volunteered at a local hospital and discovered my passion for patient care and serving people in their healthcare needs. My desire to help patients motivated me to become an EMT Emergency Medical Technician, where I gained clinical experience in working under stressful conditions, yet, maintaining a sense of calm and compassion....

Hey there! I was born and raised in Southern California and have always enjoyed the sunshine, responsibly, of course, with plenty of sunscreen and big hats.

I did my undergraduate studies at University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), then moved up to beautiful Portland, Oregon for a couple years to complete my prerequisites for Physician Assistant school.

I then completed my Masters in Physician Assistant studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA....
