About Scott Letu PA-C:

During my undergraduate studies at California State University Long Beach, I volunteered at a local hospital and discovered my passion for patient care and serving people in their healthcare needs. My desire to help patients motivated me to become an EMT Emergency Medical Technician, where I gained clinical experience in working under stressful conditions, yet, maintaining a sense of calm and compassion. Following EMT, I worked alongside ER physicians as a medical scribe in a pediatric emergency department. My passion for patient care grew, and I completed my Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University where I received my PA training and ultimately earned my Master’s Degree. During my time at LLU I had the opportunity to learn as a student of Dr. Jacobs and developed a deep fascination in caring for patients with skin-related conditions and diseases.

After graduation, I first worked as a PA in primary care and urgent care. When the opportunity arose to work in dermatology, Dr. Jacobs personally hired, further trained and provided me with a solid fund of knowledge and a clinical skill base to care for our patients as a true dermatology PA. Dr. Jacobs’ expertise as an experienced dermatologist and teacher, and his meticulous mentoring of me in our clinic gave me a solid foundation to care for my dermatology patients with caring educational, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills for for healthier skin.

Dr. Jacobs completed his residency at LLU. And I completed my PA schooling at LLU, and we both abide by Loma Linda’s healthcare mission to be God’s healing hands for our patient’s care: To continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
